Enablence releases new FTTH product
March 18, 2009 - 1:08pm Ottawa-based Enablence Technologies Inc. has unveiled its MAGNM-10, an Enablence-Pannaway product, a 10 slot version of its Multimedia Aggregation Node platform. Featuring an integrated Ethernet backplane, the MAGNM-10 provides more than 400Gbps of non-blocking backplane capacity in a package that requires only seven rack units of mounting space. The backplane provides service providers with a platform that supports GPON, active point-to-point, ADSL2+ and POTS access technologies today and can support emerging technologies such as 10Gpbs GPON and VDSL2 in the future. The MAGNM platform provides flexible upgradeable transport options for trunked 1Gbps and 10Gbps transport today and scales to support 40 and 100Gbps Ethernet transport for future applications. "The delivery of the MAGNM-10 positions us to expand the deployment options for the MAGNM to include not only high density central offices but remote terminal cabinets,” said Arvind Chhatbar, CEO of Enablence. |
