Urban gets new CEO

Urban Communications Inc. has appointed Murray Klippenstein as CEO, effective April 21, 2008. As part of a management reorganization, Klippenstein has also been appointed CEO of the company's service provider subsidiaries, Urban Networks Inc. and Imagen Communications Inc. Leslie Maerov, the company's current CEO, will resign, but retain the role of president. Clifford Bouillet will continue to serve as COO of Urban Communications Inc. and its subsidiaries.

Klippenstein brings 30-years experience in executive positions in Canada and the United States, predominantly in technology and satellite broadcasting industries. Formerly a VP of marketing and sales for American Express, he was also an original founder of Expressvu in Canada and served as founding president & CEO of one of the first digital satellite television networks in the world, AlphaStar Television Network, based in Stamford CT.

Urban Communications Inc., through its operating subsidiaries, is a full service telecommunications company providing a range of next generation IP application services to residential and commercial clients in British Columbia.
