Viigo keeps World Mobile Congress goers in the loop

Viigo Inc., a mobile application software company based in Toronto, released a special 2008 Mobile World Congress Channel that delivers up-to-the-minute Congress press releases, news, blogs, events, and alerts on Blackberry or Windows Mobile Smartphones.

The company's mobile services platform circumvents the limitations of the mobile browser and provides companies with a quick way of getting content into mobile users' hands. The platform delivers an experience that addresses the challenges of delivering content to mobile devices.

In addition to following a range of World Mobile Congress coverage, smartphone users will also have access to a wide variety of regularly-updated content from Viigo's Channel Library. Mobile World Congress attendees and non-attendees can quickly and easily subscribe to a wide array of content and services, such as special interest news, blogs, sports, weather, entertainment, market data and more.

"We're excited by being able to give users the ability to make the most of Barcelona's Mobile World Congress, whether they're on-site or not," says Viigo's president and CEO, Mark Ruddock.

Viigo has also been selected as one of the showcase applications that Microsoft is using to demonstrate the power of the Windows Mobile Platform. Viigo's latest version of its services platform - code-named Project Tango - is due to be released this spring.
