Nortel Networks Corp. and Mediatrix Telecom have announced that companies' respective products can interoperate. A statement released today indicates that Mediatrix's VoIP gateway and access systems are interoperable with Nortel's application and communication server solutions.

"As the leading provider of a reliable and secure VoIP gateways and access devices, we are committed to offering our customers a set of solutions that will minimize the labour and expense requirements involved in implementing non-compatible devices," said Marc Skinner, North American sales director at Mediatrix Telecom. "We are pleased to work with Nortel to provide seamless interoperability of our respective solutions and to help further facilitate the growing VoIP industry for both the enterprise and service provider markets."
