Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc., a Toronto-headquartered producer and distributor of both TV and cinematic entertainment, announced earlier this month that it had secured $33 million worth of backing in its bid to acquire two competitors.

The funding, derived from a private placement of Peace Arch shares at $2.50 each, will allow the company to buy Trinity Home Entertainment LLC, a DVD distributor based in  Westlake Villace CA, as well as fellow Torontonian firm Dufferin Gate Productions Inc., which provides production services and facilities. Any remaining capital will be used to reduce Peace Arch's debt and provide general working capital or funds for future acquisitions.
