Sierra Wireless Inc. has bolstered its position as one of the leading suppliers of mobile data solutions following the completion of its acquisition of AirLink Communications Inc. "The combined entity is expected to be a leader in mobile computing as well as rugged, intelligent mobile and M2M connectivity solutions," reads a new release announcing the finalization of the agreement. Sierra Wireless paid $11 million, plus $1 million in closing adjustments and issued 1.3 million shares to AirLink shareholders.
