Phil Shaer has been promoted to VP, general counsel and corporate secretary with responsibility for the company's legal strategy as well as disclosure and corporate governance obligations. He joined the company in 2004 as corporate counsel from McCarthy Tetrault. Michael Vladescu has been appointed VP of licensing and intellectual property. He was previously VP of patents and joined the company in 1996. Jin-Ki Kim, previously Mosaid's director of technology research and development, has been named VP of research and development. He joined Mosaid in 1997 following 12 years with Samsung Electronics.
