July 19, 2010 - 1:36pm Wind Mobile lands second retail distribution deal, the Apple iPhone 4 is confirmed to come to Canada on July 30th, and Telus is set to launch Android-powered Motorola i1 this autumn.
Wind Mobile's first retail partner was Blockbuster, which has been selling WIND Mobile phones through its stores since the brand launched last December. In addition to these two retail relationships, WIND Mobile phones and plans are sold through the carrier's own branded stores. Value Mobile's locations and business proposition is to target "newcomers" to Canada, and those who might not have a credit card, or are otherwise not able to sign a contract.
Apple has confirmed that is "by the end of July" iPhone 4 launch will be July 30th in Canada. Telus has said that the phone is “full Mil Spec certified for blowing rain, dust, shock, vibration, temperature extremes, low pressure, salt fog, humidity and solar radiation” and has a 3.1-inch touchscreen display HVGA (resolution of 320×480), push-to-talk capabilities, 5.0 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS, holds up to 32GB with a micro SD card. |
