Research in Motion’s BlackBerry tablet will be a 7" device, with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, a slide-out keyboard with a 1GHz processor, two cameras for video conferencing, and...Flash 10.1.

That is, if you believe a compilation of news sources form the Wall Street Journal, Betanews, Boy Genius, and analyst firm Rodman & Renshaw.

Last month RIM released Flash Player 10.1 to its mobile platform partners. This included a healthy range of supported platforms beyond BlackBerry, such as  Android, webOS, Windows Phone, LiMo, MeeGo, and Symbian.

Now Flash is rumoured to be coming to the BlackBerry tablet, with a hardware-based Flash accelerator.

BlackBerry 9800 exclusive to Rogers?

The yet-to-be-released BlackBerry 9800 Slider comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display (resolution of 360 x 480), full QWERTY keyboard, optical trackpad, 5 megapixel camera, 3G connectivity, WLAN, A-GPS Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headset jack, and 4GB of internal memory. It can also hold up to 16GB with a microSD card.

The 9800 may also be exclusive to Rogers. Why? Because Bell and Telus already have touchscreen BlackBerrys in the form of the Storm 1 and Storm 2. If this does happen Rogers will be the first to release a device that operates on their new BlackBerry 6 OS.
